What are Open Water Squads?
Concept
The third Wednesday of each month is our designated Open Water session down at Repulse Bay Beach. Pool squads will simply move to the beach on this day. Coached by our expert team of coaches, you will be educated on the technical elements of an open water experience, feel safe, supported and able to enjoy some Vitamin Sea.
We combine skills and interval training taught in our pool squad sessions to give you more race specific experience in the elements.
Big group starts, or small group drafting sets, learning to sight and utilizing OW strategies and stroke optimization for different conditions.
our promise
You will feel more confident in the open water
You will develop a better understanding of the skills required to successfully navigate an open water swim

“Swim Lab have helped make 2020 bearable. They have given us a deeper sense of community and a great appreciation for each other. Fen & AM made a quick transition to the beach when the pools were shut, and these sessions were fantastic. When they could no longer offer coaching to big groups, they offered up session plans complete with safety protocols for us to manage on our own. The Swim Lab cares deeply about us, about making sure our needs are met, and that we are having fun even in the not so fun moments which sums up 2020!”
